What inspired you to become a nurse practitioner?
One of my sisters inspired me to become a nurse as she will take care of the ill naturally and without having a degree. To become a nurse practitioner, I was inspired by Dr. Zimmerman, a great attending physician at the Harris Health System while I worked with her as a Registered Nurse.
What is your philosophy on patient care?
My philosophy about patient care is to take care of every individual holistically by referring patient to other specialty areas according to each patient’s needs.
What brought you to St. Hope Healthcare?
Many years ago, I referred multiple patients to St. Hope Healthcare for health care while I worked as a Case Manager at the Harris Health System. After graduating as an NP and obtaining some experience, wanted to become specialized in the treatment of HIV and that is what attracted me to St Hope Healthcare. I’m grateful for that opportunity.
