Every day, regardless of our chosen career, we are afforded the opportunity to make a positive impact on individual lives. The inspiration manifested itself through both my love of reading and science, which led me down the path of becoming a physician.
Patient-centered care. I believe the goal of the physician is to the lead the patient through health/wellness and disease entities, by providing the most up-to-date information. This advocacy role empowers the patient to make life-altering/changing decisions.
Working in the area of HIV for over 10 years, I have witnessed the evolution of this disease on a personal and professional level. It has given me the knowledge to know that the treatment of individuals affected by HIV is best served through a multi-disciplinary team that provides patient-centered care. St Hope foundation embodies this vision. The opportunity to be part of this organization is heartfelt and gives me the fuel that drives my hope of disease eradication.
