Dr. Asa was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. He received his Bachelors of Science in Economics from Howard University in Washington, D.C. and a Master of Public Health from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is passionate about ensuring that his patients receive high quality care and service.
Dr. Asa worked in community health and preventative medicine for several years prior to pursuing a career in dentistry. He graduated from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine and completed a General Practice Residency at The Veterans Administration in Aurora, Colorado.

What inspired you to become a dentist?
I have always been interested in pursuing a career in healthcare. While a graduate student, I worked for a community health organization and advocated for clients seeking access to dental care. I appreciated the ways in which my clients expressed the improvement in their quality of life once their dental concerns were addressed and sought an opportunity to shadow a dentist at a partnering organization. I enjoyed the experience very much and decided to pursue a career in dentistry.
What is your philosophy on patient care?
Each person is entitled to equitable, ethical, and accessible health care that promotes their oral and systemic health.
What made you interested in St. Hope?
I am passionate about community dentistry and my core values align with the mission of St. Hope. Through dentistry I hope to enable people to live happier, healthier, and fuller lives. I am excited to join St. Hope.
