Sherletta Carter is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has been providing mental health services to children, adults, and families in residential treatment, outpatient clinics, and community settings, since 2007. She utilizes attachment-based therapy, and trauma informed care throughout the life span. She is trained in providing both birth to 5 comprehensive assessments and childhood assessments.


She is experienced in working with diverse populations and has over 11 years of experience working with children, youth, and families in the foster care system. She has implemented her knowledge on attachment and trauma through a multicultural lens throughout the community. Sherletta holds a master’s degree in Social Work from California State University, Long Beach. Sherletta believes in providing a safe and nurturing environment where you find hope and restoration.

What inspired you to become a social worker?

I am inspired by the will of each human to preserve, through the hardest of circumstances, and come out on the other side resilient. I am honored to have the opportunity to walk with someone through their journey of self-exploration and discovery.


What is your philosophy on patient care?

I believe in being patient centered, seeing the patient as a whole person. It is important that each patient know that I see and hear them.
