What inspired you to become a dentist?

To know that I can enrich someone’s life, simply by enhancing his or her smile, which will in turn changes one’s self-esteem, nutritional health, and lifestyle, is very fulfilling. Since childhood, I was always insecure about my teeth. I had a mild case of fluorosis, which left a very distinct appearance to my teeth. Fluorosis is the result of a chronic condition caused by excessive intake of fluoride. The appearance of my teeth was mentally draining and stopped me from smiling. Later in life, a few fillings later, I experienced a change in the quality of my life. Since that day, I desired to provide for others in ways which would also improve their confidence.

What is your philosophy on patient care?

As a General Dentist, I believe it is my duty to always uphold the highest ethical and professional standards in dentistry. I strive to educated my patients and provide the best quality service possible. As dentists, we should always stay up to date on the current quality of care, research, and new evidence available to improve the patient experience.

What brought you to St. Hope?

St. Hope has given me the ability to do what I love. I immediately recognized what my quality of life would be like working at St. Hope during the interview. The ambiance of the work environment, the co-worker interactions, and the advanced equipment was very noticeable. I enjoy providing care to those in an undeserved environment because once upon a time I lived such way.
