Dr. James Sims III currently serves as Chief Medical Officer at St. Hope Healthcare. He received his medical degree from Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio and completed Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Residency at the Cook County Hospital, Chicago, Illinois. He completed his fellowship training in Infectious Disease in 2010 at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Sims is board certified in Internal Medicine, and has a special interest in the treatment and prevention of HIV, hepatitis C, and tuberculosis infections. Also, Dr. Sims has received specialized trainings in Botox as well.
Dr. Sims added qualifications in HIV management through certification by the American Academy of HIV Medicine. He has served on various community boards to include Healing Hands Organization. He served as Section Chief, Infectious Disease at Park Plaza Hospital, Houston, Texas ( 2014-2016). He is a member of such notable medical associations as the American College of Physicians, Texas Medical Society, Harris County Medical Society, and the Infectious Disease Society of America.
