Erika Green is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Dillard University in New Orleans, Louisiana, graduating with the class of 1999. Erika brings a strong background in Critical Care and Trauma Services, where she also obtained her Critical Care certification.


In addition to her clinical experience, Erika has held leadership roles, including serving as an Administrative Director and House Supervisor. She has also worked as a Legal Nurse Consultant. Erika earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Prairie View A&M University College of Nursing. She provides care for both adolescents and adults, with a special interest in chronic disease management and in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities.

What inspired you to become a nurse pratitioner?

I pursued a career as a Family Nurse Practitioner after witnessing a critical need within communities—specifically in preventing the kinds of illnesses that often lead to ICU admissions. I wanted to make a meaningful impact earlier in the healthcare journey through primary and preventive care.


What is your philosophy on patient care?

My philosophy centers on ensuring that patients feel heard, valued, and empowered to actively participate in their health and wellness.

I chose St. Hope because its mission-driven approach to care aligns with my personal values. I am dedicated to dismantling healthcare inequities through advocacy and education, and I strive to challenge bias in every aspect of care delivery.
