If you’re New Year’s resolution was to eat healthier, implement improved eating habits, or to lose weight; then March is the month of motivation for you! March has been designated as National Nutrition month.
Entering into the new month, gives us an opportunity to have a fresh start on fitness and health goals previously set. Choosing healthier options such as: fresh fruit, whole-grains, and low fat would contribute to making long-term lifestyle changes. These changes have been attributed to decreasing risk of prevalent chronic illnesses.
The internet is an excellent source of various delicious, healthy recipes. For those of us, who aren’t so talented in the kitchen, when dining out choose the side salad or mixed vegetable options instead of French fries. Making a small change, such as choosing water over a carbonated beverage, will make a difference in your overall health.
