Eye exams should be completed annually (at least 1 time per year). Our optometrist is highly skilled and takes pride in ensuring that you receive routine optimum ocular health screenings annually with our comprehensive and intermediate eye examinations including treatment plans and follow up care. The optometrist:
• checks your standard eye functions
• determine refractive prescriptions (with Visual Acuity Testing)
• performs a physical eye health screening to examine eye structure and tissues
• test to detect diseases in advance to prevent damage to your eyes without rapid care
Diabetic Retinopathy Exams
If you have diabetes, it is important to have a Diabetic eye exam completed as a part of your total diabetes care. Diabetes affects many parts of the body, including your eyes. There is an increased risk for eye conditions such as:
• development of diabetic retinopathy (major concern)
Our optometrist works in a care team environment with our diabetes specialist and primary care physicians to coordinate your treatment plan and monitoring of your diabetes to control your diabetic outcomes.
