What inspired you to become an Optometrist?
I had pretty bad eyesight growing up. I wore contacts and glasses for the majority of my life. I thought it was pretty great that I could go see my eye doctor and leave seeing so much better every year. When I was choosing what career I wanted to pursue, I shadowed my doctor and found how much more I could help people other than just getting them to see better. I could help manage diseases. I could fix the problems. I could even save vision AND lives. I found it exciting and challenging and so incredibly rewarding and knew it was my path.
What is your philosophy on patient care?
I want to provide patients with amazing service in a safe and compassionate environment and to educate those patients to understand his options as a partner in his eye care.
