St. Hope Foundation Salutes Our Nation’s Social Workers

Social Work Month

March is Social Work Month and we’re taking time out to salute the the hard work put in by our nation’s Social Workers. We understand that sometimes being a social worker can be a thankless job but it is the end result that makes it all worthwhile.

This year’s theme for Social Work Month is “Weaving Threads of Resilience and Advocacy: The Power of Social Work.”

For many of us who have needed to utilize the services of a social worker they can be an immediate lifeline in a crisis situation. Whether its’ a need for emergency funds for paying an overdue light bill or money to obtain food, social workers are sometimes the last option for support especially with the current state of the economy. Currently here in the USA there are more than 650,000 people working within the Social Work field.

This month we recognize the hard work and determination of our nation’s Social Workers. Thank you for all that you do.
