With every new school year, parents strive to make healthy lunches. At the same time, we also want our children to eat the food we pack! Here are some easy tips to help accomplish both of these goals:
- Plan the week of school lunches with your child – This act allows the child to become more involved and will increase the chance that he/she will eat the meal at school.
- Celebrate Special Days – Make the lunch exciting by creating a theme. For example, choose red colored food to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
- Pack extra food for friends – If you are trying to get your picky eater to eat new foods pack extra for him/her to share with a friend. Let peer pressure do its magic!
